Start menu, creating a document in Adobe Illustrator

New file - used to create a new document, or hot keys Ctrl + N.

Open - opens an existing document.

Learn - helps to find some educational materials Adobe Illustrator.

When you create a new file, settings immediately appear on the right, where we rename our future work (For example: Preset details: "project1").

Width and Height - to change the width and height of your future art board or mounting area.

Orientation - select the orientation of the work: portrait or landscape. Only relevant when the width and height of the art board are different.

Artboards - here you need to specify the number of art boards to create.

Bottom and Right - to set up bleeds. This is usually necessary when working with printed products (when cropping along the edges of the future layout is assumed, for example, if it is a business card, then, as a rule, 3 mm is made along the edges.)

Color Mode - select a color model. CMYK Color - designed to create layouts that will then be used for printing. RGB Color - for layouts for web placement. For example, for a business card, the color model should be CMYK Color.

Raster Effects - pixel density per inch. The higher this figure, the higher the print quality. If printing is not needed and the work will be placed in the web space, then we choose what Adobe Illustrator tells us.

Preview Mode can be pixel or overprint by default.

Overprint is used in professional printing, it is needed to track the overlap of colors.

Pixel - helps to simulate a raster image before exporting to a raster format.

Default - a standard mode for viewing documents, which is used almost all the time when working in Adobe Illustrator.

More Settings - opens an even more detailed menu. Here you can also name the document, select a preset, set the number of artboards, the distance between them and their order.

Columns - to set the number of rows or columns.

Size - select the size for your future artboard from the presented blanks. The "Size" blanks will change depending on the "Profile" you select. You can also manually set the width and height, unit of measurement, document orientation and bleeds.

Templates - to load some templates.

After all the settings are set, click Create Document. Now we can work in our created document in Adobe Illustrator.
