Plugins in Figma and where they are
Plugins in Figma and what are they anyway?
This is a kind of add-on, so to speak, additional software inside the program itself. If the program has a certain number of tools, a certain functionality, then plugins somewhat expand this functionality.
Plugins exist on completely different topics and with different functionality and tasks.
Where are the plugins in Figma?
They are inside Community. We can get there from our main screen or by following the link: https://www.figma.com/community
Next, select All resources ➡️ Plugins. And here Figma gives us a huge number of plugins. This is not a very convenient format for issuing plugins, because the feed can be scrolled endlessly.
There we also have a search bar, enter what interests us in it.
For example: "isometry", and on the left we see the results of our search, select Plugins.
To save the plugin in your account, you need to go to it and click on the "flag" (Save) so that it turns white, and to delete it, click on it again.
To now use our installed plugin in Figma, you need to right-click on the workspace and select Plugins ➡️ and our plugin.
How else can we get to Community and find a plugin that suits us?
Right-click on the work area ➡️ Plugins ➡️ Manage plugins... ➡️ enter the plugin we are interested in in the search.
How can we find out which plugins are already installed on our account?
Right-click ➡️ Plugins ➡️ Saved plugins ➡️ and here we see all the plugins that we have installed.
